Win and Chargers must go to Indy

SAN DIEGO --- The San Diego Chargers’ road to the Super Bowl will have to go through Indianapolis.

The No. 1 seeded Colts trashed No. 6 seed Baltimore, 20-3, Saturday night. Indianapolis will host the AFC championship game Jan. 24.

The Colts will host the winner of Sunday’s AFC divisional playoff game between the Chargers and the visiting New York Jets. The Chargers are the No. 2 seed and were poised to host the title game if both they won on Sunday and Baltimore had won Saturday night.

If the Chargers get past the Jets, they will not be afraid of the Colts. San Diego has ousted Indianapolis from the postseason the past two seasons.

Meanwhile, the weather forecast for Sunday in San Diego is 64 degrees and partly cloudy. There had been some concern of possible rain during Sunday’s game.
