Jackson gets Pro Bowl nod

One of the bigger injustices in the AFC Pro Bowl voting last month was the snubbing of San Diego receiver Vincent Jackson.

However, because of several players pulling out of Sunday’s game in Miami and the Super Bowl appearance by Indianapolis’ Reggie Wayne, that injustice has been addressed.

Jackson is headed to his first Pro Bowl. It’s richly deserved for Jackson, who somehow was a third alternate to the Pro Bowl. The fifth-year player was outstanding in 2009. The 6-foot-5 speedster had 68 catches and averaged more than 17 yards a catch this season. Jackson became a true game-changer in 2009. He belongs in this game.
