Broncos' bad week continues

The cost of Denver's lopsided loss at New England continued to rise Friday.

Four days after Denver's humiliating 41-7 defeat in which linebacker Boss Bailey and backup quarterback Patrick Ramsey were injured and lost for the season and superstar cornerback Champ Bailey was lost for at least a month with a groin injury, three Denver players were fined for on-field infractions.

Right tackle Ryan Harris was fined $5,000 for unnecessary roughness. He shoved a New England player after an Andre Hall lost fumble.

Running back Michael Pittman was fined for $5,000 for a chop block and linebacker Jamie Winborn was fined $5,000 for a major facemask. Winborn's play was critical to the team. Had he not committed the penalty the Patriots would have been forced to punt while the outcome of the game was still in question.
