Ellington spent Tuesday in a walking boot, which he had on during the open portion of practice Wednesday. Arians said his starting back was less sore than he expected two days after Monday's 18-17 win over the San Diego Chargers in which he rushed for 53 yards on 13 carries and caught five passes for 27 yards.
"It's much better than we hoped," Arians said.
Rucker played just three snaps before leaving with a calf injury that's been affecting him for a while, Arians said.
"It'll be doubtful for this week," Arians said. "We'll see how it goes day-to-day.
"We don't want it to be a season-long thing, so we'll watch it but I would doubt if he plays this week.
Quarterback Carson Palmer (right shoulder) appeared on the injury report Wednesday. He was limited, along with right guard Paul Fanaika (knee), safety Rashad Johnson (ankle) and punter Dave Zastudil (left groin).
Safety Tyrann Mathieu (knee) practiced in full.
Wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald was not on Wednesday's injury report. He spent all three days on it last week with a knee injury.
