Chiefs cut four players

The Kansas City Chiefs got a jump on Tuesday’s first cut day by releasing four players.

They cut quarterback Bill Stull, running back Kestahn Moore, tight end Cody Slate and offensive lineman Tyler Eastman.

None of the cuts were surprising, although Moore was with the club last season. The release of Stull might be an indication that quarterback Brodie Croyle is close to returning from an arm injury. Stull was signed two weeks ago to be a camp arm while Croyle recovered from an injury he suffered in the first preseason game.
