Chiefs make roster moves

The Kansas City Chiefs kept to their 2009 trend of signing lesser-known free agents by coming to terms with tight end Sean Ryan.

Ryan has played for five teams in five NFL seasons. He played with New Orleans and San Francisco in 2008. He has played in 43 games and he has started seven games. He was a fifth-round pick by Dallas in 2004 out of Boston College.

Kansas City cut three players Tuesday: tackle Andrew Carnahan, linebacker Curtis Gatewood and receiver Kevin Robinson. He was a sixth-round draft pick last season. Robinson is the second second-year receiver the Chiefs have cut in a week. They recently cut Will Franklin, a fourth-round pick last season.
