Chargers' Rivers called for taunting

OAKLAND -- San Diego quarterback Philip Rivers has long been known for his on-field animation.

There were the battles with former Denver quarterback Jay Cutler and the time Rivers talked to Indianapolis fans in the playoffs.

Well, add a new one his chapter.

Rivers was penalized 15 yards for taunting Oakland defensive tackle Gerard Warren. Rivers yelled something at Warren and then spiked the ball near him.

San Diego’s offense is way, way out of sync. It is missing injured offensive linemen Nick Hardwick and Louis Vasquez badly.
