Marcus Edwards, the son of former Kansas City coach Herm Edwards, is not expected to return to the team for the 2009 season.

Edwards was a pro personnel assistant with the Chiefs. His name no longer appears on the team's Web site under front office members where it once was listed. Herm Edwards was fired by the Chiefs on Jan. 23. Marcus Edwards was getting interest from other teams in the league in recent days.

In other division news, the Raiders are reportedly considering hiring NFL and NCAA coaching veteran Ted Tollner as an offensive assistant coach. The team is continuing to plug away at talking to assistants without a permanent head coach. It is still considered to be simply a matter of time before interim coach Tom Cable gets the full-time job.
