Should we believe the Tyler Wilson hype?

The media praise is high for Tyler Wilson in Oakland. Yes, he had a good rookie camp. He could be a promising prospect.

But here’s my advice: Let’s wait to see him in training camp and in the preseason and, just as importantly, let’s wait and see Matt Flynn and Terrelle Pryor in the summer as well.

A lot would have to happen for Wilson to become an early starter in Oakland. It could happen, but this is just the beginning of a long process.

In other AFC West notes:

The Josh Cribbs league tour may soon end. He is visiting with the Lions. The Cleveland receiver/returner is expected to soon decide where he will play. He has also visited the Raiders, the Jets and the Giants.

If Cribbs signs with Oakland. He will be a return man and extra receiver and be insurance for Jacoby Ford, who has dealt with foot injuries.

Guard Tyronne Green left San Diego to sign with New England as a free agent. Green was not in the plans of the new regime. He was started 41 games in his four seasons in San Diego.
