Flush the Pocket: Fitz fine without London

Flush the Pocket will be your daily morning dose of the Arizona Cardinals. It'll recap the top story line from the previous day and give you a look at what everyone is saying locally and nationally.

TEMPE, Ariz. -- Around afternoon tea, the NFL announced the pairings for next season's three games to be played in London as part of the International Series.

Although it was highly unlikely the team was going to be chosen, Cardinals' fans kept one eye glued to the announcement. Unfortunately, Arizona won't be munch on crumpets or seeing the queen next season.

The Cardinals are slated for a road game at Oakland next season and the Raiders were one of three host teams heading to the United Kingdom. But instead of the Cardinals, the NFL chose the Miami Dolphins to play Oakland. Dates have not been announced yet.

Not going to London is sitting perfectly fine with Arizona star receiver Larry Fitzgerald. He didn't want to go in the first place.

“I've been in London plenty of times,” he said. “I'd rather go there on a tourist trip.”

Fitzgerald didn't like going to Sarasota for a week in September. You think he'd like going to London?
