TEMPE, Ariz. -- The NFL posted an update of the Pro Bowl voting and there’s no surprise as to who’s leading the contest.
Denver quarterback Peyton Manning is the runaway leader at this point. But then the voting is broken down by positions, and there’s a surprise.
On Nov. 20, Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson had the second-most votes for his position in the NFC with 189,605, behind Seattle’s Richard Sherman. The two were on pace to make it an all-NFC West party in Hawaii.
But when the NFL’s most recent voting updates were released this week, Peterson dropped off the pace. New England’s Aqib Talib is now second behind Sherman’s 367,076 votes.
