TEMPE, Ariz. -- Jay Feely's 41-yard field goal in overtime of Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans didn't just win the game for the Arizona Cardinals. It also earned Feely the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week.
The kick was Feely's 11th game winner and the seventh to come in overtime. Sunday was Feely's second game-winning field goal this season, and his sixth as a Cardinal. He's one of eight kickers in NFL history to have seven or more field goals in overtime.
"I think when you have team success and then you get individual accolades," Feely said, "that's just part of that process. It's good that we're winning."
Feely is the second Cardinal to be named a player of the week in as many weeks. Linebacker John Abraham won the honor after Arizona beat St. Louis. This is Feely's third career honor and his first since Week 14 in 2010.
This marks three straight seasons of back-to-back players of the week for Arizona. Defensive end Calais Campbell won it for Week 2 of 2012 and wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald a week later. In 2011, Patrick Peterson was named special teams player of the week for Week 9 and Fitzgerald won it on offense a week later.
