Report: Cards add another CB in Lewis

The Cardinals are loading up on cornerbacks ahead of offseason workouts.

Arizona reportedly signed LeQuan Lewis to a two-year contract, according to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun. The team has not announced the signing. According to Wilson, the Arizona State product has had stops with five other teams. Lewis last played three games with Dallas and five games with Tampa Bay in 2012. He had five tackles that year and one interception when he was a member of the Buccaneers.

Lewis will add some competition to the Cardinals’ secondary during OTAs, minicamp and training camp but don’t expect him to make a run for a starting job. The 25-year-old is 5-foot-11 and 190 pounds.

With Lewis’ addition, Arizona enters April with Patrick Peterson, Antonio Cromartie, Jerraud Powers, Bryan McCann and Justin Bethel as cornerbacks on the roster.
