Quick hits from Bruce Arians' presser

After watching the game tape, Arizona Cardinals coach Bruce Arians said he was "disappointed" but not "discouraged" with his team’s performance in their 27-24 loss to the St. Louis Rams.

Here are a few notes from his Monday news conference:

• The three sacks allowed by LT Levi Brown weren't all Brown's fault, Arians said. Twice a running back left early before waiting to finish a block.

• Arians called Jay Feely’s kickoffs poor and said his squib kicks early in the game were not planned.

• There’s a chance TE Rob Housler may miss another week.

• The Cardinals came home healthy.

• LB John Abraham played 20 snaps, and Arians said that's too few. He'd like Abraham to get about 10 more a game.

• Arians was pleased with the running game, which totaled 86 yards between Rashard Mendenhall and Alfonso Smith, but too many times there were blockers slowing them down.

• Arians said he left three of six “bullets” in the playbook. A “bullet” is a deep pass and Arians said from his opening news conference he wanted to use all six every game.
