According to the NFL Players Association's updated figures, the Falcons currently stand $17,352,126 under the cap. They should have around $11 million in salary-cap space once their seven draft picks are signed. None have signed as of yet with rookie minicamp set to begin on Friday.
Rookie contracts are basically slotted under the collective bargaining agreement, and deals are expected to increase no more than 10 percent over last season. Last year, Falcons' first-round pick Jake Matthews, the sixth-overall pick, was signed to a four-year deal worth a fully guaranteed $16,434,400 that included a fifth-year option. He received a signing bonus of $10,268,728.
The Falcons' total rookie cash allocation for 2015 is $34,166,029.
