Falcons hire Phil Emery and Ruston Webster as scouts

The Atlanta Falcons hired Phil Emery and Ruston Webster as scouts.

“Phil and Ruston bring over 40 years of combined NFL scouting expertise to our organization and I am pleased to have them join our staff,” said Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff. “They will both be focused predominantly on college scouting, an area that both men have excelled in during their careers. I am confident that they will bring an added leadership presence to our scouting department.”

Emery has been a scout and general manager for 17 years in the NFL. He served as the director of scouting for the Falcons from 2004-2008. He was the Bears GM from 2012-14. Before joining the Bears, Emery was the director of college scouting for the Kansas City Chiefs in 2009.

Webster was the Tennessee Titans general manager and brings 28 years of NFL experience to the Falcons. Webster also previously worked for the Seattle Seahawks and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
