Baltimore Ravens' home and away opponents for 2017

The Baltimore Ravens' 27-10 loss Sunday placed them second in the AFC North and helped finalize their 2017 home and away opponents. The dates of each game will be determined in the spring when the full regular-season schedule is released.

Home opponents (*playoff team): Pittsburgh Steelers*, Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Bengals, Houston Texans*, Indianapolis Colts, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions* and Miami Dolphins*

Away opponents: Pittsburgh Steelers*, Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Bengals, Jacksonville Jaguars (in London), Tennessee Titans, Green Bay Packers*, Minnesota Vikings and Oakland Raiders*

My take: How the Ravens fare in 2017 is not just about the teams they play. It's the quarterbacks. This season, Baltimore faced four quarterback with a rating in the top 10 -- New England's Tom Brady, Dallas' Dak Prescott, Washington's Kirk Cousins and Oakland's Derek Carr -- and lost every time. That suggests next season will be just as difficult. In 2017, the Ravens go against five such passers (Aaron Rodgers, Sam Bradford, Andrew Luck, Carr and Marcus Mariota). That's going to put tremendous pressure on a defense that faded at the end of the season. Seven of their opponents will be playoff teams from 2016.
