Unveiling Ravens' Wake-up Caw

The Wake-up Call, which has become the traditional morning links post for the AFC North blog, is taking a new name with the launch of the team blogs. The Baltimore Ravens' links will now be featured in "Wake-up Caw." If you have a better idea for a name, please let me know. But this is what we're going with for the Ravens.   • There is a giant Joe Flacco banner that currently hangs outside Sports Authority Field in Denver, which is beginning to irk Broncos fans and players. The Ravens open the season at Denver on Sept. 5. "It doesn't seem like it makes sense that the Denver Broncos have to have an opposing player on their stadium," Peyton Manning said, via KOA-AM 850 in Denver.

  • One starting defensive lineman returned and another one remained out. Haloti Ngata was back after missing the past two days for a family issue, and Arthur Jones missed practice for the third day in a row as he deals with a personal medical issue. "Art had an issue, it's not football-related,” Ravens coach John Harbaugh said, via The Baltimore Sun. “I'm going to leave it to Art to explain what it was. It's more of a personal health thing that's not serious."
