Ravens are tied for last wild-card spot

BALTIMORE -- The Baltimore Ravens' 19-3 win over the New York Jets was magnified after the Miami Dolphins lost to the Carolina Panthers.

After the Sunday afternoon games were over, the Ravens (5-6) found themselves tied with the Jets, Dolphins and Pittsburgh Steelers for the sixth seed in the AFC. Technically, the Steelers hold the tiebreaker advantage over the other teams (they beat the Ravens head to head last month). The Ravens have beaten the Jets and Dolphins, so they have the tiebreaker edge over those AFC East teams.

This adds more importance to the Thanksgiving night game between the Ravens and Steelers. The Ravens and Steelers are two games behind the AFC North-leading Cincinnati Bengals (7-4).
