OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh reminisced about singer Tom Petty on Wednesday and pointed out how "I Won't Back Down" is among his favorite songs.
"Let's make that the theme song this week for the Ravens," Harbaugh said.
It does seem like a fitting song for a Ravens team that has dropped its last two games by a combined score of 70-16 and has faced heavy criticism heading into Sunday's game against the Oakland Raiders.
Harbaugh has been a longtime fan of Petty, who died Monday at the age of 66. On Wednesday, Harbaugh talked about the time he saw Petty in concert when he was in high school.
"My brother [Jim Harbaugh] was running late as usual," John Harbaugh said. "We came in on 'American Girl,' so that was OK. We had a great time. Great guy. Great quotes. Great perspective on life."
The Ravens typically play loud music during practice to simulate crowd noise. It appears Harbaugh has already made a request for the playlist.
"I get a feeling we're going to have a little Tom Petty out there today," Harbaugh said.
