Ravens' preseason offers new matchups

This year's preseason schedule for the Baltimore Ravens will have a different feel than the ones in the past.

The Ravens play the San Francisco 49ers and the Dallas Cowboys for the first time in the preseason, and they will meet the New Orleans Saints for only the second time in the preseason. The only familiar preseason face is the Washington Redskins, and the Ravens haven't played their local rival in the preseason since 2011.

The Ravens' preseason kicks off against the 49ers on Thursday, Aug. 7. It's another matchup for the Harbaugh brothers, although this is as far from the HarBowl as you can get.

This also marks the first time since 2006 that the Ravens won't finish up the preseason in either Atlanta or St. Louis. The Ravens wrap up the 2014 preseason at the Saints on Aug. 28. They travel to New Orleans during the regular season, but both teams will likely rest most of their starters in the final preseason game.

Here is the Ravens' 2014 preseason schedule:

Week 1: Thursday, Aug. 7 vs. San Francisco 49ers

Week 2: (Date TBD) at Dallas Cowboys

Week 3: (Date TBD) vs. Washington Redskins

Week 4: Thursday, Aug. 28 at New Orleans Saints

(Times for the Ravens’ preseason games will be determined at a later date)
