We honor the Big 12's best Week 2 performances with the helmet stickers below:
West Virginia WR Shelton Gibson: Gibson had a monster outing in the Mountaineers' 38-21 win against Youngstown State. He hauled in six passes for a career-high 171 yards and a pair of touchdowns that stretched 54 and 57 yards, respectively.
Baylor S Orion Stewart: The Baylor veteran defender had two key interceptions, helping propel the Bears to a 40-13 rout of SMU. His first interception in the end zone thwarted an SMU scoring threat in the first half. The second he returned 33 yards for a touchdown, which gave the Bears some breathing room at 26-6. Stewart also finished with eight tackles.
TCU WR/KR Kavontae Turpin: Though it wasn't enough, as TCU fell to Arkansas 41-38 in overtime, Turpin was speculator Saturday. He finished with 126 receiving yards, and delivered a 34-yard punt return. His 64-yard kick return to the Arkansas 27-yard line late in the fourth quarter seemed to set up the Horned Frogs for a game-winning field goal in the final seconds. Instead, the field goal attempt was blocked, and the Razorbacks prevailed in the second overtime.
Texas QB Shane Buechele: Texas' true freshman delivered another strong performance in his second career start. He completed 22 of 27 passes for 244 yards and four touchdowns, and rushed for 34 yards, as Texas hammered UTEP 41-7. After two games, Buechele owns a completion percentage of 71.7 percent, which is tied for tops in the Big 12.
