Texas coach Mack Brown is taking his personality to TV.
Brown will step in front of the camera as an analyst for the NFL Network's coverage of the draft on Saturday, April 24. As coach of the Longhorns, Brown has sent 41 players to the NFL, and will be counted on for insight into the next batch of future pros.
“It's an honor to be asked and certainly a tribute to all of the success our guys have had in the NFL and the number of talented draft prospects we have this year," Brown said in a release. "I love watching [the NFL Network's] work and hope they know they'll have to carry me (laugh) because this is a new and different challenge for me. I'm looking forward to it."
Brown seems perfect for the guest gig. He's candid, direct, and of course, knows the game and a good percentage of the players he'll be analyzing. Something tells me this won't be the last time we see Brown behind a desk on-screen.
