Big 12 Week 10 picks: Bedlam showdown highlights day

Here are the Week 10 Big 12 picks from my colleague Sam Kahn Jr. and me (all times ET). Visit our college football PickCenter page for additional information on these games and many more.

Baylor at Kansas, noon

Khan: The Bears have come close a few times to getting that evasive win. This time they'll finally get it against a Kansas team that has lost every game since Week 2 by double digits. Baylor 41, Kansas 30

Trotter: Baylor has been close a couple of times to getting that first Big 12 win. Kansas hasn't been close at all. Baylor 35, Kansas 20

Kansas State at Texas Tech, noon (FS1)

Khan: This is a must-win for Kliff Kingsbury, whose team has dropped three straight. The Red Raiders, who have snapped three three-game losing streaks since 2015, will find a way to do it again. Texas Tech 45, Kansas State 38

Trotter: The winner of this game has a great chance to get to a bowl. The loser will be in trouble. The Red Raiders have struggled lately. The Wildcats have struggled all season. Texas Tech 34, Kansas State 29

No. 15 Iowa State at West Virginia, 3:30 p.m. (ESPN2/WatchESPN)

Khan: No Big 12 team has allowed fewer second-half points in conference play than the Cyclones (4.8 per game), and no Big 12 team has scored more second-half points in conference play than the Mountaineers (24.2). Turnovers -- where the Cyclones have the edge -- will be the difference. Iowa State 34, West Virginia 30

Trotter: West Virginia is beat up from the Oklahoma State game last weekend, and now the Mountaineers have to face maybe the best defense in the Big 12. Iowa State's magical season marches on. Iowa State 24, West Virginia 23

No. 5 Oklahoma at No. 11 Oklahoma State, 4 p.m. (FS1)

Khan: Against Power 5 competition, the Cowboys have been better on third downs, have a better turnover margin and have defended opposing quarterbacks better (opposing QBR of 26 to Oklahoma's 68.8). Oklahoma State 38, Oklahoma 34

Trotter: In a vacuum, it's tempting to pick Oklahoma State. But the same could've been said of last season. Or 2013. Or, well, name the year. History suggests that OU wins Bedlam when it matters. And I can't pick against that -- or against Baker Mayfield in a big game. Oklahoma 37, Oklahoma State 35

Texas at No. 8 TCU, 7:15 p.m. (ESPN/WatchESPN)

Khan: Two good defenses should make this a low-scoring affair. TCU is 19-0 in home games when ranked in the top 10 under Gary Patterson. TCU 20, Texas 13

Trotter: The Texas defense will keep the Longhorns in this one. But Gary Patterson will have his squad focused coming off a big loss. TCU 16, Texas 9

Trotter: 41-14

Khan: 44-11
