The fine blog Double-T Nation, which deals mainly with Texas Tech sports, is as surprised as I am about some of the choices that Mike Leach has made to spotlight his program at the upcoming Big 12 media days in Kansas City.
With a boatload of national honors candidates, most notably potential Heisman candidates QB Graham Harrell and WR Michael Crabtree, you would think that Leach would be eager to introduce his most heralded players to reporters from across the nation.
Instead, the Red Raiders will be sending CB Jamar Wall, IR Eric Morris and backup S Daniel Charbonnet to Kansas City.
The Red Raiders are fashionable BCS busters in many preseason predictions. It appears that their coach might be interested in teaching some of his best players a dose of humility heading into the season.
