Baylor recruits Bryce Petty and Tevin Reese were key players in Team USA's 78-0 beatdown of France in the first round of the Junior World Championships in Canton, Ohio.

Petty and Reese hooked up on a 15-yard TD pass early in the fourth quarter, helping finish off a blitz of four fourth-quarter touchdowns that wrapped up the largest victory of Saturday's first-round games.

Petty, a quarterback from Midlothian, Texas, completed 5-of-8 passes for 56 yards for a touchdown with no interceptions. And Reese, a wide receiver from Temple, Texas, led the United States with three receptions for 40 yards.

The other Big 12 representative on the team is Texas A&M defensive lineman Chris Henderson of Dallas Carter High School.

The United States' next game will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday against Mexico, which claimed a 41-0 victory over Sweden in another first-round game on Saturday.

The winner of Wednesday's game will advance to a championship game on Sunday afternoon.
