Former Texas Tech wide receiver Kelly Hildebrandt will be getting married later this year in a somewhat unique situation.

The one-time Red Raider walk-on plans to marry a girl who shares the same first and last name.

Hildebrandt and his fiance, Kelly Hildebrandt, are getting all kinds of national notoriety. They had an appearance on the "Today" show on Sunday and scads of stories from across the country about their unique relationship. The Hildebrandts appeared on "Inside Edition" together and there's even talk about a reality television series in the couple's future.

Hildebrandt played on Tech's scout team for two years. As a senior, he produced one reception and two rushing attempts in five games. He also earned a scholar-athlete award.

But it was nothing like the reception he received when a girl from Florida starting looking for people with the same name. She was attracted to Hildebrandt's Facebook page that featured a picture of the shirtless Hildebrandt.

Meetings over e-mail and telephone calls started it before they finally met. A relationship ensued that will culminate in the marriage in October.

It's the kind of story that appears to have a happy ending -- even if their friends will have difficulty because both will be turning around any time "Hey Kelly" is said in their presence.

KCBD-TV in Lubbock had an interesting story about the couple. Here's a link to it.
