Missouri's second game of the 2011 season has been moved to a national Friday night broadcast on ESPN.
The Tigers will travel to Arizona State on Sept. 9 and kick off at 10:30 p.m. ET. Missouri also played Iowa in Sun Devil Stadium in the Insight Bowl in a game that kicked off at just after 10 p.m. ET.
The game was originally scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 10, but the university announced the move on Thursday. Missouri will open its seasons against Miami (Ohio) on Sept. 3.
The Tigers' matchup with the Sun Devils should be one of the most intriguing Big 12 nonconference games of the year, and moving it to Friday night gives it a nice stage, even if it means Missouri has to play on a less prestigious night. Oklahoma and Florida State will play the same weekend, but a solid road win against a major conference opponent would establish some nice momentum for the Tigers moving forward into 2011.
