STILLWATER, Okla. -- There's a good chance we'll see some rain here later in the afternoon.
Forecasters with the National Weather Service are expecting a 70 percent chance of rain. There are several angry clouds hanging over the stadium. I'm guessing we'll probably have some precipitation after the half.
The current temperature is 79 degrees with 65 percent humidity. The wind is from the east-northeast at 10 mph, but shouldn't be too much of a factor.
The temperature on the turf is less than 80 degrees, which is an extreme rarity for most September games at Boone Pickens Stadium. And I noticed the wind was blowing kind of like you would expect before an approaching rainstorm during a brief walk on the field before kickoff.
It puts a premium on both offenses starting quickly because neither knows what the conditions will be like later this afternoon.
