Oklahoma has only been truly tested once this season, on the road against Florida State.
Its red zone struggles have persisted throughout the season, though. The high-powered offense entered tonight's game with just 19 touchdowns and 12 field goals in 34 trips.
The Sooners have stolen momentum from Texas Tech, but failed to take advantage of a trip to the red zone again. They trail 31-17 late in the third quarter.
That momentum swing included a goal-line stand and a lengthy drive after the Red Raiders intercepted Oklahoma quarterback Landry Jones.
The Sooners haven't folded, and that's a good sign for the rest of the game, but it's going to take a whole lot of big plays on both sides of the ball to complete a comeback.
At least a few of those plays will have to come in the red zone, too.
