Quick, impressive start for Jayhawks

All right, I'll admit it. I didn't think Kansas could do what it's doing so far at Raymond James Stadium.

QB Todd Reesing has hit 15 of his first 19 passes and appears to be pushing himself into consideration for the Heisman Trophy. He's already passed for more than 200 yards as the Jayhawks have cruised to a 20-10 lead just before halftime.

The most amazing part of Kansas' early success is the way freshman Kansas tackles Jeremiah Hatch and Jeff Spikes have dominated South Florida's vaunted pass rush. It hasn't been a contest so far.

Events, of course, can change. But something tells me that Mark Mangino didn't expect to come in and take control of this one quite as quickly as his team has.
