Just a guess here, but I would have thought that Nevada defensive coordinator Nigel Burton would have made stopping Missouri wide receiver Danario Alexander his first priority after halftime.
Instead, Alexander streaked through the Nevada secondary -- again -- en route to a 74-yard touchdown grab from Blaine Gabbert that enabled Missouri to get an 18-13 lead.
The key to the play was the half-hearted attempt by Nevada cornerback Antoine Thompson as he seemed unsure whether to go for the interception or merely tackle Alexander.
The mistake enabled Alexander to score. It was reminiscent of the errors that caused the Wolf Pack's two earlier losses this season.
