Source: A&M decides on UH's Kevin Sumlin

Texas A&M has reportedly found the man to lead it into the SEC.

Houston coach Kevin Sumlin and the Aggies were finalizing a contract on Saturday morning, a source told ESPN's Joe Schad.

Sumlin lead Houston to a 12-0 record this season before a loss in the Conference USA Championship to Southern Miss, whose coach, Larry Fedora, was also a candidate at Texas A&M. Fedora took the job at North Carolina. Sumlin was an assistant coach at A&M from 2001-02.

Texas A&M fired Mike Sherman after a 6-6 season in his fourth year in College Station. The Aggies will play in the Meineke Car Care Bowl of Texas, in Houston on New Year's Eve.
