Snyder denied another coaching award

LSU coach Les Miles was named the Associated Press coach of the year, ahead of Kansas State coach Bill Snyder and Oklahoma State's Mike Gundy.

Gundy was named national coach of the year by the Football Writers Association of America, ahead of Snyder, who won the Big 12 coach of the year from the media and coaches.

Miles led the voting with 30 of 56 votes. Snyder received 16. Gundy received six.

Snyder's team finished 10-2 and second in the Big 12, its first double-digit-win season and highest finish in the league since 2003.
