Should the Big 12 expand?

Just when you thought realignment had gone quiet, we get sucked back in.

On Wednesday, the Big 12 expansion committee met via teleconference for the first time since admitting West Virginia.

On its own, that doesn't mean anything.

But a report in the Chronicle of Higher Education said that future expansion was "very possible" and that Louisville and BYU topped the Big 12's wish list.

Big 12 spokesman Bob Burda told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram that "There is nothing imminent in regard to expansion," and there were no further meetings scheduled.

The league added West Virginia and TCU this season after Missouri and Texas A&M left the Big 12 with just eight members.

For now, the league is happy with its 10-team configuration. That hasn't changed. Neither has the league's stance that it hasn't ruled out future expansion.

In my opinion, the Big 12 will sit pat unless the 10-team configuration brings about unforeseen problems, or the Big 12 learns that television networks could offer bigger payouts for a championship game.

Just about anything's possible.

But what do you think? Would you want to see the Big 12 bring in two more teams?
