Arkansas' previously maligned defense steps up

ARLINGTON, Texas -- I've been impressed with the job that Arkansas' defense has done after a slow start.

After they were stunned by 10 quick A&M points in the first 9 minutes of the game, the Razorbacks have bounced back to limit Texas A&M to a touchdown and a field goal as they raced to a 47-19 lead.

The popular pregame perception was that Arkansas' secondary would be its weak link against Jerrod Johnson. But the secondary hasn't been tested because the Razorbacks have kept consistent pressure on the A&M quarterback.

It's a good building block for the Razorbacks who were exposed by Georgia and Alabama in back-to-back weeks.
