COLUMBIA, Mo. -- Most of the lights are on at Faurot Field, although it's noticeable that several buildings near the football facility still are powerless.
Missouri athletic director Mike Alden said a transformer in the northeast corner of the Missouri campus blew after straining under the effects of torrential rains all day. Several circuits that provide power to the Missouri campus still are not operational.
The power outage in the north side of the stadium has knocked the play clocks off line. They are working in the other side of the stadium.
Alden said that if both clocks aren't working, neither would be used. We're still about 25 minutes from kickoff so officials have one last chance to get things operational.
