Credit some first-start jitters for Seth Doege's early struggles, but the redshirt freshman has bounced back to pull Texas Tech into a 14-14 deadlock against Kansas.
Doege has fumbled twice, including one that led to a 3-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown by Kansas defensive end Maxwell Onyegbule.
Doege has completed half of his 28 passes, but rifled a 61-yard touchdown pass to Baron Batch that accounted for Tech's first score.
The defenses have surprisingly ruled as Kansas is averaging 3.2 yards per snap and Texas Tech is averaging 3.0 in the first half.
Kansas desperately needs to win this game to provide a cross-division game against the South. The Jayhawks are halfway there to getting it.
