The Big 12 has announced its players of the week, as voted on by a panel of media.
Smith completed 23 of 24 passes for 407 yards and three touchdowns in West Virginia's 59-10 win over Kansas. He also set the school record with 21 consecutive completions and broke Chase Daniel's Big 12 record of 20. His completion percentage (min. 20 attempts) also tied an NCAA record and broke the Big 12 mark. This was Smith's third Big 12 weekly award this season.
Seastrunk rushed for 178 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries, clinching the 41-34 win over Oklahoma State with a 76-yard touchdown run with 5:11 to play. He averaged better than 11 yards per carry.
DEFENSE: Eddie Lackey, LB, Baylor
Lackey wins the award for a second consecutive week for making a career-high 15 tackles (12 solo) and intercepting a pass, returning it for a touchdown to give Baylor its first lead of the game in the win over Oklahoma State. Lackey did the same in the fourth quarter against Texas Tech last week, and has three interceptions in the past two games.
SPECIAL TEAMS: Tress Way, P, Oklahoma
Way averaged 49.3 yards on his seven punts in Oklahoma's 24-17 win over TCU, and boomed a 75-yarder in the third quarter. Two of his punts were pinned inside the 20-yard line, and the 75-yarder was the fifth of his career that went at least 70 yards.
