Texas quarterback David Ash is expected to be healthy for the Longhorns' Alamo Bowl date with Oregon State, but Texas is waiting to discuss who will start against the Beavers, coach Mack Brown said at a news conference on Thursday.
Ash suffered a rib injury in a Thanksgiving night loss to TCU and also threw three interceptions. Junior Case McCoy replaced him and engineered a late touchdown drive, and started the following week in a loss to Kansas State. McCoy threw two interceptions, but also completed 17 consecutive passes.
