Big-play bonanza gives Longhorns the lead

COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Texas' offense is piling up yards in the first half in a balanced attack that has boosted the Longhorns back into the lead.

Colt McCoy's 14-yard touchdown pass to Jordan Shipley -- the third touchdown that McCoy has accounted for today -- gave Texas a 21-14 lead.

The Longhorns snuffed any momentum after A&M's game-tying touchdown by starting the scoring drive with plays of 45, 12 and 21 yards after they had been pinned on the 14 to start the drive.

It's helped the Longhorns already pile up 334 yards. Texas has rushed the ball for 162 yards and McCoy has added 172 yards passing.
