Texas CB Deon Beasley leaves after head-to-head hit

COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Texas cornerback Deon Beasley was carted off the field after a vicious head-to-head shot with Texas A&M's Anthony Lewis.

Beasley was down on the ground for more than 8 minutes as the large Kyle Field of 84,671 remained silent. One board was brought out before another one was sent to the field. His parents were summoned from the stands to attend to their son before he left the field.

As Beasley, a senior from Orange, Texas, was taken off the field he raised his right arm to the crowd.

He is listed as a backup for the Longhorns at left cornerback as well as one of their primary special teams players.
