Pokes rank last in Steele's experience chart

Oklahoma State could be the nation’s most inexperienced team in 2014.

The Cowboys are ranked 128 out of 128 in Phil Steele’s experience chart for 2014. Steele gives the Pokes a 35.94 (out of 100) rating after losing 32 lettermen from last season's 10-3 squad. OSU has seven senior starters returning and one additional senior on its two-deep. The Pokes' defense was hit particularly hard by departures, returning just 35.05 percent of its tackles from 2013.

In-state rival Oklahoma is the most experienced Big 12 team on the list with a 67.92 rating and 12 senior returnees on its two-deep. The Sooners' experience along the offensive line stands out with 107 career starts among OU's offensive front.

TCU (37), Kansas (41), Texas (46) and Iowa State (50) are the other Big 12 schools in the top 50 in Steele’s experience chart. Baylor (81), Kansas State (58), Texas Tech (63) and West Virginia (54) join the Cowboys in the bottom 78 of the FBS.
