Big 12 Heisman Watch: Week 11

Not much movement in the Heisman Watch this week, but here's how it stands heading into Week 11. Still only three realistic candidates.

With a pretty bigtime performance and an undefeated team, Weeden is looking more and more like a legit candidate to challenge Andrew Luck. A loss by Stanford to Oregon on Saturday might shake up this whole race, and don't be surprised to see Weeden at the top of the list this time next week.

1. Brandon Weeden, QB, Oklahoma State

Last week: 36-46, 502 yards, 4 TD, 2 INT in a 52-45 win over Kansas State.

Making the case for Weeden: Weeden's ugly pick six early on induced a little panic in Stillwater from everyone except Weeden, it seems. He rebounded for a huge fourth quarter and led three scoring drives in the Cowboys' fourth-quarter comeback. Very Andrew Luckian if you ask me. The 502 yards were a school record.

2. Landry Jones, QB, Oklahoma

Last week: 18-38, 255 yards, 2 TD in a 41-25 win over Texas A&M.

Making the case for Jones: Jones helped blow out Texas A&M with a huge third quarter, but will now have to move on without his best and most reliable target, Ryan Broyles. I'd expect his numbers to dip, but if they don't we'd learn a whole lot about Jones as a passer. He'd certainly validate his status as a contender. His last gasp to get back in the race will be in Bedlam in December. Jones' accuracy was off on Saturday, but the Sooners moved to 8-1.

3. Robert Griffin III, QB, Baylor

Last week: 27-41, 406 yards, 3 TD. 18 carries, 64 yards, TD in a 42-39 win over Missouri.

Making the case for Griffin: That's three 400-yard games in three weeks for Griffin, who's likely on the outside looking in at the national Heisman race with three losses, but he helped Baylor get a fifth win. With Kansas up this week, the Bears are in position for a sixth.

Here's how I voted in ESPN's weekly Heisman Watch:

1. Andrew Luck, QB, Stanford

2. Kellen Moore, QB, Boise State

3. Brandon Weeden, QB, Oklahoma State

4. Trent Richardson, RB, Alabama

5. Case Keenum, QB, Houston
