Donovan Bonner had just come back from a serious knee injury in fall camp that cost him his season. Now, another serious injury will cost him the spring.
According to the Columbia Tribune, Bonner suffered a dislocated elbow in Tuesday's practice, and had to be carted off the field.
Bonner may have been a backup to linebackers Will Ebner and Luke Lambert, who are also out for spring practice, but Bonner's latest injury leaves Missouri strapped for depth at the position.
Missouri has just four scholarship linebackers healthy for spring practice now, and according to the Tribune, Missouri turned to walk-on Michael Brennan as the strongside linebacker for the second team after Bonner left practice.
Redshirt freshman Jared Parham is behind Bonner on the depth chart, but for a player with plenty of potential just returning from an injury, a second setback has to be frustrating for everyone involved.
