Pitt adds another linebacker

Two days after getting a commitment from inside linebacker Quinton Alston, Pittsburgh has added a potential complement on the outside.

Linebacker Ben Kline of York, Pa., committed to the Panthers on Monday night. He had also considered West Virginia, Rutgers, Connecticut and Michigan.

ESPN's Scouts Inc. ranks the 6-foot-3, 214-pound Kline as the No. 41 outside linebacker in his class. He collected 118 tackles last season.

Pitt will likely start two juniors (Max Gruder and Greg Williams or Tristan Roberts) and a sophomore (Dan Mason) at linebacker this season. It looks like the Panthers are bringing in the next wave of players at that position.
