How the Big East fared in the East-West Shrine Game

Did any Big East players drastically improve their draft stocks over the weekend at the East-West Shrine Game?

West Virginia linebacker Mortty Ivy had the best game statistically, compiling eight tackles and assisting on a tackle for loss for the East squad. Cincinnati defensive back Brandon Underwood had four tackles, while Rutgers safety Courtney Greene made three stops.

Louisville quarterback Hunter Cantwell attempted only two passes for the East, completing one of them for 22 yards. South Florida receiver Taurus Johnson and Syracuse offensive lineman Ryan Durand were also on the East team but were not listed in the game's participation report.

More important than the actual game were the practices leading up to it, which were watched closely by scouts. None of the Big East players seemed to draw a huge buzz, though Cantwell did reportedly show off a quicker delivery than he had in college.
