Rutgers snags Florida running back

Rutgers has been looking for an explosive running game ever since Ray Rice left town. The Scarlet Knights just found another possible candidate to help in that area.

Chevelle Buie, who's from Cocoa, Fla., committed to the Scarlet Knights today. ESPN's Scouts Inc. ranks him as the nation's No. 63 running back. Buie's other offers included Florida State, Clemson, Michigan, LSU and Georgia Tech. He ran for 1,678 yards and 17 touchdowns as a junior.

Buie is only 5-foot-8 and 155 pounds, but Rice wasn't too much bigger out of high school. He's more similar in size to Tim Brown, and Buie can also play receiver.

Add Buie to this year's signees such as Jeremy Deering, Jawan Jamison and Casey Turner, and Rutgers continues to land speedy playmakers from Florida.
