Former South Florida defensive back Anthony Henry has given the school $100,000 to help with renovations to the football team locker room and multi-sport weight room, the school announced today. The gift is the largest ever given by a former football player.
"Even though I am nine years removed from the program, I thought it was important to give back financially and show the current players how much USF means to me," Henry said in a statement. "I will always support USF football in every way I can."
Henry played in the defensive backfield for South Florida from 1997-2000. He now plays with the Dallas Cowboys, along with fellow ex-Bulls cornerback Mike Jenkins.
