It's not time to panic yet, but any time the reigning Big East co-defensive player of the year misses four straight practices, well, that's noteworthy.
Pittsburgh defensive end Greg Romeus has been out since the beginning of camp and missed another workout Wednesday with what the team is calling "stiffness and soreness." Pitt coach Dave Wannstedt insists it's not a big deal and said Romeus could return to practice Thursday after doing some work on his own Wednesday.
Wannstedt is usually a straight shooter and there's no reason to hide an injury at this point in the year, so we'll take him at his word. But it's a situation worth monitoring all the same.
